The federal government's new Tourism Relief Fund is now open for applications. The purpose of the fund is to support tourism operators in enhancing tourism experiences and products to attract more visitors.
Eligible applicants: Businesses, not-for-profit organizations, band councils, and other Indigenous organizations and cooperatives.
Eligible projects:
Product development / Development and enhancement of tourism experiences to modernize and adapt to the 'new normal', or
Destination development to take advantage of post-pandemic opportunities
Financial support:
Non-repayable contributions up to $100,000 for up to 50% of eligible costs, or
Fully-repayable contributions up to $500,000 for up to 75% of eligible costs
